Step away from the city crowds and discover the true spirit of Durga Puja with our Gram Banglar Durga Puja Parikrama in Bardhaman. This unique heritage tour takes you through some of the oldest Rajbaris, Bonedi Baris, and Zamindar houses of rural Bengal, where Durga Puja has been celebrated with devotion, tradition, and grandeur for centuries.
The highlight of the journey is the magnificent Amadpur Rajbari, home to a nearly 365-year-old Durga Puja that continues to preserve its royal customs and rituals. Surrounded by heritage architecture and a peaceful village atmosphere, Amadpur offers visitors an unforgettable glimpse into Bengal's aristocratic past.
The tour also visits the historic Gangatikuri Bandyopadhyay Bari, one of Bardhaman's most revered family Durga Pujas. Here, Goddess Durga is worshipped as a beloved daughter returning to her maternal home, and age-old traditions are followed with deep faith and devotion. The beautifully preserved thakurdalan and ancestral mansion reflect the timeless charm of rural Bengal.
Another memorable stop is the renowned Kanchannagar Das Bari, famous for its traditional Durga Puja and beautifully handcrafted idol made according to centuries-old customs. The heritage home, sacred rituals, and warm family atmosphere make this Bonedi Bari one of the most cherished Durga Puja destinations in Bardhaman.
